As younger performers, we studied improv while supporting ourselves in corporate positions. Over time, we noticed that the skills we acquired through improv could be effective in solving common issues that arose in the workplace.
Brandy began teaching improv classes specifically designed to help non-actors succeed in their professional lives. Meanwhile, Lydia was using the improv skills she acquired to improve her own corporate team. We quickly saw how these tools positively transformed people’s lives both in and out of the office. We then decided to combine our expertise to reach peers and professionals on a larger scale.
Today, we use the Power of Play to foster community, innovation, and collaboration within corporations and organizations, both locally and around the world!
Brandy spent the past two decades training and performing with some of the finest comedy theaters in the country, including: GROUNDLINGS, SECOND CITY, IMPROV OLYMPIC WEST, ACME COMEDY and UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE. She’s been a mainstage performer in both improv and sketch comedy. She was also an invited performer at National Lampoon’s Comedy Cocktail, as well as other major comedy festivals in Austin, Boston and Los Angeles. To support her improv addiction, she held a corporate position for over 15 years. Several years ago, she began using the tools of improv to teach non-actors to be more expressive, supportive and confident. Being able to inspire others for a living is a dream come true.

OUR STORY
Lydia has over a decade of experience in improv comedy coupled with a substantial corporate background. She has trained at distinguished institutions such as GROUNDLINGS and UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE. She’s also a successful content creator posting daily videos with Cosmic Force Comedy. Graduating with honors from the University of Tennessee, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting along with a collateral in Finance. She loves being able to use her corporate know-how and comedic talent to elevate others.
